We take in all different types of bunnies, and do not discriminate by breed, age, or behavior. We are a life-saving rescue and do not euthanize for reasons such as space, age, or behavior. Our bunnies live with trained volunteers in loving foster homes for as long as they need before they are adopted.
We are an independent nonprofit located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, so we rely heavily on donor funding. We do not receive funding from any other organization or from governmental entities. We are volunteer based, working in our free time to save bunnies' lives.
Saving one bunny won’t change the world, but it will change the world for that bunny.

Our mission at Roger’s Rabbit Rescue is to rescue homeless domestic rabbits and help find them forever homes, and to provide education and resources for bunny guardians so that their rabbits can live happy, healthy lives.
In 2020, Roger Rabbit was abandoned in an apartment with several other animals after an eviction. At the time, he was a husbun and had a wifey bun who he was very bonded to. Both buns were brought to a shelter through law enforcement because of abandonment. Both him and his wifey bunny, Jessica Rabbit, were placed into a foster home that was extremely stressful for both of them and they began displaying defensive behavior.
After a short time, Jessica was brought back to the local shelter and had such extreme medical issues that she had to be euthanized, leaving Roger widowed. The foster home then put Roger almost immediately into an enclosure with other bunnies. Unfortunately, bonding bunnies can be a long process, and it is never best to house unbonded bunnies together, without bunny dates in a neutral territory first. Roger became increasingly more aggressive and was returned to the local shelter a few weeks later because of his behavior.
This is when Roger met his future mom, Sarah. When she met him at the shelter as a volunteer, he was very under socialized and would lunge, scratch, and bite if anyone came near him, touched any of his belongings, or simply opened his enclosure. It took several months to get him to trust people, but he is now living his best life with his favorite human.
Roger is the main inspiration behind Roger’s Rabbit Rescue. Our goal is to educate community members about proper rabbit care, with an emphasis on understanding rabbit behavior, so that bunnies like Roger can have a second chance at a happy, fulfilling life.
